If you are looking for a career in the rapidly growing beauty industry, then the Cosmetology Esthetician Program from Southwest Schools will qualify you to provide facials and other beauty treatments. This program prepares you for a career as an Esthetician in beauty spas, salons and medical offices.
Training is provided through classroom instruction as well as real-world training at our on-site student salon, and will provide you with the knowledge about the technical applications required to be successful as an Esthetician. Training is provided in campuses located in North Austin.
Our Cosmetology Esthetician Program teaches you how to revitalize, assuage and cleanse the skin by learning the techniques and processes for facials, waxing, makeup, business development, aromatherapy, retail training, body treatment techniques, and more. Additionally, students develop business and sales skills that make them more valuable employees or more successful business people.
The subjects of study covered in the curriculum include consultation & skin care/analysis, health and hygiene, make-up techniques, skin structure and function, applied anatomy & physiology of the head, face, neck, hands, feet, lower arm and lower leg, as well as business studies and salon procedures.
Our program prepares students to pass the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation exam required for licensure. SWS is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and graduates of our programs are highly preferred by employers in the job market.
