SWS’s Pharmacy Technician training prepares you to count and measure medication, manage inventories and calculate appropriate doses. Graduates of our program receive some of the best hands-on training in the industry as they learn and work along with committed and empathetic professionals.
Additionally, students also learn about pharmacology basics, common terminology and abbreviations, adverse effects of pharmaceuticals, how to fill and dispense prescriptions, as well as billing, communication and computer skills.
Pharmacy Technician classes can prepare you with hands-on training and guided classroom instruction. Training is provided by dedicated and committed faculty members. Training is available at campuses located in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, Texas.
Students complete an externship program that provides hands-on experience with the operations of a pharmacy under the direction of an office manager or pharmacist.
